GUIDED MANSION TOUR & GALLERY VISIT

We encourage all visitors to purchase their tickets through Yapsody. If you require assistance with the online admissions process, please call our office at 717-392-7223 press "4." Guided tours of the General Edward Hand Mansion are available at 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm (Tuesday-Friday and Sunday) and 10 am and 12 pm on Saturday.
On June 3, we are unable to offer the 12 PM Mansion Tour due to staffing issue. However, the Snyder Gallery will be open from 10 AM to 2 PM on June 3. Visitors may purchase a "Gallery Only" ticket if you wish to see the Snyder Gallery.
On June 20, due to school groups visiting, we are closed for tours of the Hand Mansion.
Your ticket also includes admission to the John J. Snyder, Jr. Gallery of Early Lancaster County Decorative Arts located on the second floor of the Rock Ford Barn with entry through the Ann B. Barshinger Welcome Center (rear of barn). Guests may visit the Snyder Gallery before and/or after their scheduled house tour time. However, guests must be present on the piazza of the Hand Mansion at their scheduled tour time. If you arrive after your tour start time, please report directly to the piazza door of the Mansion so that you may join the tour in progress. If you are more than 15 minutes late, you will need to reschedule. Please call the office at 717-392-7223 press "4 "
The Snyder Gallery is open 10 am to 4 pm on Tuesday-Friday and Sunday. On Saturdays, the Snyder Gallery closes at 2 pm due to rentals on the grounds.
Visitors should park in the lot at the main entrance. However, handicapped parking spaces are available at the Snyder Gallery and adjacent to the brick walk entrance to the Hand Mansion. Restrooms are available in the Welcome Center. The Hand Mansion does not have any public restrooms.
PLEASE show your ticket (digital or paper) to your Tour Guide prior to entry into the Hand Mansion. The staff member in the Welcome Center to the Snyder Gallery may also ask to see your ticket. Tour guides will meet the scheduled Hand Mansion tours on the piazza. Visitors will be standing, walking, and climbing steps for the entire mansion tour. Chairs will be available inside the mansion for visitors who feel the need to sit. Tours are limited to a maximum of 15 visitors.
